Clinical supervision gives you a space to ensure you are supported and your practice meets the highest standards. Supervision has 3 functions-

1- Normative functions. Your supervisor supports you to meet all the ethical and professional standards of your professional body.

2- Formative function. The supervisor can teach you treatment plans and help you develop your skills.

3- Restorative function. Your supervisor is your support. Being a helping professional can raise a great deal emotionally and a good supervisor will be there for you with empathy, congruence and unconditional positive regard.
